We often had healthy discussions around usability and clarity, and his arguments were always grounded in design principles and user experience, not personal preference. This approach helped ensure that the final products were intuitive and well thought out. He's also very collaborative and receptive to feedback. He knows how to defend good design decisions while still being flexible and open to iteration.
